SCP-069 assumes the exact appearance, behavior, memories, and biological identity of a recently deceased person — down to fingerprints, DNA, and mannerisms.

Once transformed, SCP-069 lives the stolen life with quiet urgency. It resolves unfinished business, visits family, updates wills, and puts affairs in order — not out of guilt or deception, but compulsion. SCP-069 has no memory of previous transformations and believes itself to be the individual it currently inhabits.

If SCP-069 is killed, the body decays rapidly into dust. Moments later, it reappears at the site of the most recent human death, ready to begin again.
